Christ Died For The Ungodly
(25 pack)

by Anne Trimble

This tract explains that we all need a saviour and shows how we may turn to the Lord Jesus.

The Bible tells us that everyone is a sinner, but it also tells us how we can have our sins forgiven. "All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3v23) "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all." (Isaiah 53v6) We must understand for ourselves that, as we are, we re not fit to go to heaven, so we need a saviour. Yet, God loved us so much that He gave His perfect Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die for our sins. If we are satisfied with the death of Christ in our place as a payment for sin then our sins can be forgiven. Then we will be saved from hell and fit to go to heaven. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3v16) However, it is our own choice as to whether or not we are prepared to be satisfied with the death of the Lord Jesus for our salvation, and this will determine where we will be throughout eternity. "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." (John 3v36) "Whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20v15) "What must I do to be saved?" "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." (Acts 16v30,31) "To him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." (Romans 4v5) "God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5v8) "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God." (1 Peter 3v18) "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4v12)
