This beautiful old story, set in an artist’s studio in Dusseldorf, tells of how a little gypsy girl, whom the artist was painting, was attracted to a painting of the Crucifixion. She enquired as to its meaning and eventually was told the story of the Cross. Her response, “ You must love Him very much when He has done all that for you,” lead, through time, to both artist and gypsy girl coming to appreciate the real purpose of the Crucifixion.
